My Top 5 Downfalls and My Resolutions

I don't claim to be perfect, or an expert by any means. In fact, I struggle with the same things you might struggle with too. As I look back at the past month, I came up with My Top 5 Downfalls and My Resolutions.

Back in October, I decided I wasn't going to make or bake any treats for Christmas.

Downfall #1: I still made treats. Lots of them.

Downfall #2: The worst part is that I didn't even make them with the intention of giving them away.

I just wanted to eat them.

So I did.

That leads me to:

Downfall#3: Being hypocritical.

I'm a fitness instructor and now a personal trainer. So I feel like I need to be a better example by not eating crap, even at the holidays. It's okay to indulge a little, but I definitely indulged A LOT!

Downfall #4: Lack of motivation for my own workouts.

Yes, I teach classes, but I'm there for my students to get a good workout, not necessarily to get one myself. So I do need to put in time for myself. For my own workouts, and that hasn't happened lately either.

Downfall #5: Losing focus of what I want the most.

We all have goals. This month, I've been too wrapped up in who-knows-what, that I've forgot about writing my goals down and staying focused on them.

SO.....

As the New Year begins, I'm resolving to:

#1: Not making treats.

If I want a special snack or treat for my son, I'm only going to make Eat Clean recipes.

#2: Not being a hypocrite.

I hate hypocrites! I hate the fact that I've been one even more. So I'm REALLY going to focus on planning my meals, planning my snacks, and getting all the un-healthy junk out of my house. If it's not here, I won't eat it.

#3: I'm going to schedule my own workouts into my week.

If that means I have to wake up earlier, so be it. I'm doing it!

#4: I'm going to focus on my goals.

Writing down my goals for my day, my week, my month, and my year are crucial steps in being successful in any aspect of my life. Even though I've never been uber-organized, THIS is the time. I'm going to make a difference in my life by following these steps because I know it'll help me achieve what I want to achieve!

Now, tell me ONE resolution you have for 2011, and how you are going to make that happen!

Lose 2 lbs per week until I reach my goal of weighing less then 200 lbs. I'm going to eat like a caveman and workout like a madman :)
