First Day of Body Sculpting

I'm not even technically certified to teach Body Sculpting, but what the heck, right? I'm on the schedule to teach it every Monday and today was the first class. I have to admit, it was a very good, challenging workout. I think from everyone's expressions, it was good. I hope so at least. I'm not used to teaching this type of toning class. I'm used to the cardio, constant talking, cheerleading type of workout. It's going to take a while to fall into my niche, I think, but it will be okay. I'm anxious to start seeing results from this class. It's nice that I teach it because it forces me to do at least one toning class a week.

I also subbed for the Latin Impact class tonight. I taught HHH. It was a good class, about 7 people. Tomorrow I'll be teaching church aerobics in the morning with TK, and then at night is my TK Cardio Party, Luau Style! I'm going to be sporting my grass skirt and coconut bra. I have lei's for everyone...it's going to be fun!

Turbo Kick Cardio Party!

Well, tonight is my first official TK Party. I've decided to have this party to kick off the the new Round that we'll be doing, Round 28. It's going to be awesome! R28 is a lot of fun. There's a lot of fun dancing moves to it, so it'll be perfect for the party theme. I've got a disco-type ball, we'll turn off the lights, and we have glow ropes for everyone to wrap around their wrists or put on their necks. I'm really hoping it'll be a great party. I've been advertising the party for a week or so at the gym now, so I'm hoping for maybe at least 20! It's still just a workout, but with all of these party things added. I've also got this ice cream from a guy at church that is very low calorie, no fat, and it's like having a protein shake, but it's ice cream. I'll be handing that out as well. Can't wait to see how things go!

I'm on a high...

...a fitness high, that is. Last night, my TK class had 19 people in it!! 19!! That might not seem like a ton, but with the size of the group fitness room that we have, it does seem like a lot. It's amazing how much more energy I feel like I have when there are a lot of people. I had a handful of new students, so hopefully they'll want to come back for more. I've decided that on February 12th, I'm going to have my first ever Turbo Kick Party to bring in a new round. I'll be introducing Round 28. It's a fun one, so I'm really excited. If I had 19 people last night, I'm hoping that the turnout for my party will be huge! I'm going to have a disco light and glow ropes for everyone. I'm also thinking of doing some kind of healthy snack, apples and carrots maybe? I am going to promote my party through signs and flyers, so hopefully people will show!

I went to Heidi's house this morning and weighed in. 144.2. YEAH! The last time I got weighed was at the doctors office a couple of months ago, and I was back at about 151. Being conscious of my eating is going well. I really like the challenge of staying in range of my points. If I could just lose 15-20 more pounds, I would be so happy! I just need to stay consistent with eating well and working out.
